Fire & Security Engineer

Location: Greater Manchester/North West 

Automatic Alarms Ltd has over 35 years of experience within the Fire & Security industry and we are looking for an experienced and ambitious engineer to join our expanding team. 

The successful candidate will be required to maintain, fault find and complete small installations of fire, emergency lighting and security systems. 

Key responsibilities of the role: 

• Servicing of fire, emergency lighting and other security equipment
• Fault finding 
• Installation of new fire and security equipment 
• Being involved in a 24-hour emergency cover rota (1 week in 8)

Requirements of the role:

• Minimum 5 years experience in the fire and security industry is essential 
• Computer literate 
• Familiar with JobWatch or other PDA platforms 
• Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills 
• Full UK driving license 
• Flexible and self-motivated

Other skills, that are an advantage, but not a requirement: 

• Worked with JobWatch or other automated mobile engineer systems 
• Worked with BAFE/SSAIB/NSI accredited companies
• Commissioning of systems 
• Galaxy/Texecom/Pyronix
• Gent Fire/Advanced/C-Tec/Protec 
• Nurse calls/Warden calls
• Paxton 
• Hikvision
